Final reflective practice

Image
Front cover Back cover For the final outcome of the reflective practice project I made a colouring book of all of my creatures, so can it be sold in stores. The target age group for this colouring book was aimed towards a mature age group. I was even thinking of making these creatures more commercially for example making game cards, stickers, jigsaws and other various products out of them. I had created eleven outline drawings with enlarged images and descriptions of the creatures and wondered if they could be presented as a finished book and how simplistic would this book need to be to target the right age group.        Double page layout Fantasy creature Fantasy creature Fantasy creature What I enjoy the most in illustration is creating more of my own fantasy creatures, like my previous ones, but adding more features to each composition and to be used commercially for a product. Such as a new book or a set of trading

Reflective Practice investigation 2 (Storyboard Silhouette)

Storyboard Storyboard This storyboard is part of my 3 investigation before I started college again. It's a storyboard that could turn into a stop motion animation video, or a narrative print. Again it's about fantasy and includes one of my own creatures that I made during my previous projects. Storyboard Storyboard

Mythical creatures of the island of Mythifica, Final major project

Front cover  Title  Contents and Introduction  One of the main pages    Incentagonfly Pinserpharus Parapion Turizardal This is all based on my final major project of my Illustration course. It's about creating a guidebook called Mythical creatures of the island of Mythifica. My focus was to present these creatures from the fantasy island whilst describing their individual unique composition. Going forward I'm thinking with these creatures I could also create cartoons, stop motion animation videos, puppets, trading cards and illustrations. Batch Production

Image
My Batch Production project was to produce a product that could be made into a commercial item that could be sold in craft shops. I therefore created a shadow puppet theatre, using the movement of my creatures I wanted to be able to make a stop motion animation. However the product itself can be used just for fun or for people to create their own stop motion animations. I constructed the presentation box to be used not just to contain the materials but also become the basis of the theatre itself. Once the characters had been sketched I carefully cut around the outside of the outline so the card was still intact and the pieces could be delicately popped out.
