sketch book work of the 7 magpie's 3

Rough etched prints of my seven magpies but only one of them is mixed with a lino print for media experiments, that didn't really turn out to be the best results for the final outcome for this project.

Fantasy Star Constellations

Image
This was my last final project that I produced in university before graduating. It is based on imaginative fantasy star constellations from what I see and imagine in the night sky and how it  could be used to bring others into the world of stargazing.   It's a scene of fantasy water creatures rising  to the surface  and flying creatures reaching to the top of the sky. After drawing out the image in fine line pen, I then experimented with the colour and making sure it wasn't too bold in order to bring out more of the image lines of the compositions. When deciding what final outcome to choose from I found out the less amount of colour there was within the background, the more abstract the composition would become.
